Selenium disulfide (SeS2) is a unique targeted component that effectively combats the causes of dandruff formation, reduces its manifestations and prevents its reappearance.
Selenium disulfide has antifungal, cytostatic and keratolytic effects, slows down the growth of hyperproliferative cells in seborrhea and seborrheic dermatitis. The component has antimicrobial activity, destroys the environment favourable for excessive reproduction of yeast fungus, and restores skin secretions' regular activity. Active selenium disulfide molecules block the division and reproduction of pathogenic fungi Malassezia, normalize the exfoliation of dead cells of the epidermis, and, as a result, reduce the appearance of dandruff and prevent its formation.
Indications for the use of drugs with selenium disulfide: dandruff, seborrheic dermatitis.
Contraindications: pregnancy, lactation, individual intolerance to the components.
Precautions:
Dandruff results from a combination of causes, which is characterized by an accelerated process of exfoliation of skin particles, usually on the scalp. In the normal functioning of the body, the renewal of skin cells occurs every 28 days, while the old cells remain on the skin's surface with dead keratinized scales. Usually, these scales are invisible, but the use of low-quality hair care products, hereditary predisposition, stress and disease can lead to the activation of pathogenic fungi and too frequent cell renewal, as a result, to the appearance of a large amount of dandruff.
